Mental Health Therapist

Laurie earned her master’s degree in social work from CSU Long Beach, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon. Her style as a psychotherapist is heavily influenced by strengths based work, strongly encouraging curiosity over judgement. She enjoys working with people of all types and provides a safe, empathic, and collaborative space to assist individuals in exploring their past and/or present, as well as their strengths, to heal and create the lives they want and deserve. Laurie is trauma informed and uses an eclectic approach with modalities that are evidence based, adjusted according to each client’s needs. 

Laurie has worked for several years with youth and adults experiencing various mental and behavioral health issues. Laurie also has training as a death doula which she uses to assist individuals in accepting their mortality, as well as in creating and celebrating their legacy and the ways in which they want to live the rest of their life.  

Laurie’s private practice is by appointment only, located in downtown Coquille, Oregon, and she also offers telehealth. She is focused on individual psychotherapy for adults of all ages, as well as group work with all ages, and offers a free 30-minute consultation to help determine whether she is the right fit for an individual’s needs.
