Jamie Mayo, PhD, PMHNP

Jamie Mayo, Ph.D., PMHNP has worked with hospitals and medical schools in the US and Australia studying how the brain works in health and disease. She has spent the past eight years conducting biomedical research and providing patient care. She served in the US Navy Reserves for 8 years and is the wife of a retired Sheriff’s Deputy. She is thankful for all our Military Veterans, Firefighters, Emergency Responders, and Police Officers.

After finishing her PhD in Biology, she completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne Australia and at the University of Utah where she worked on understanding factors that influence resilience post-traumatic brain injury. After completing her MSN in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing at Vanderbilt, she currently specializes as a nurse practitioner helping people across the lifespan heal from trauma, chronic pain, somatic issues, and addiction.

Jamie is an EMDR trained therapist who has an advanced certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy for Trauma. She has additional training in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and training in ketamine assisted psychotherapy from Polaris Insight Center. She is currently offering medication management, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, CBT for insomnia and dream work with nightmares, and EMDR therapy.
