Marriage and Family Therapist

James is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. He is also an Approved Supervisor for counseling or marriage & family associates seeking state licensure. James brings 30 years’ experience in both agency and private practice work. James is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy and has served on the board of the Oregon Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. He has worked with individuals in a variety of settings including, school, hospital, residential facilities, outpatient, in the home and in the wilderness. James is available to help you with a wide range of issues, however, areas of special interest for him are bereavement/grief, alternative relationship styles, transitions & adjustments to life events and also providing clinical supervision.  James operates with a client centered, strength- based approach that is trauma informed.
