Kellie is the sole owner and provider at her private practice, Avant Mental Health LLC in Brookings, Oregon where she specializes in medication management and brief psychotherapy. She sees patients aged 6 and older for all mental health needs. She grew up in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree as well as her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree specializing as a family nurse practitioner. She later attended Johns Hopkins University and completed her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certificate. With over 13 years of nursing experience, she has learned firsthand the positive impact of treating mental health and how it can improve every aspect of a person’s life.

Kellie is a highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional who is dedicated to providing the best possible care to her patients. Growing up in a rural town, Kellie understands the beauty and serenity of a small town, but also the challenges for receiving health care. She strives to improve the quality and accessibility of mental healthcare for rural populations. When Kellie is not treating patients, you can find her running, hiking, kayaking, and fishing.
