Dez Dixon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Optimize Wellness Counseling. Dez has years of experience working in various rural community mental health programs across the state. She has worked with adults and youth experiencing various mental and behavioral health issues including depression, anxiety, attachment issues, trauma including abuse and PTSD, ADHD, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, life transitions, grief and loss, and adolescent issues.

Dez is currently providing therapy services to adults and parents. Her approach is person centered, strengths based and collaborative. Through utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices, Dez collaborates with individuals to meet their treatment goals. She uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as a variety of modalities to engage individuals in healing. These modalities/theories include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed skills, Narrative Therapy, Attachment based interventions, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), and Somatic Therapy.
