I chose to become a social worker for the holistic and macro perspective this background gives me. I’ve worked in many different settings in my 10+ years in the field, and have been utilizing telehealth for 3 years. My specialities are mood disorders like depression, anxiety & Bipolar disorder, trauma and navigating life stressors and changes. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also apply Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed paradigms, mindfulness, body-centered approaches, & Motivational Interviewing. I identify as a White, cisgender female. Mother, partner, dedicated friend, caregiver, lover of all animals (yes even bugs!), nonviolent, crafty, sunset chaser, curious, homebody, and fervent avoider of hard pants.
