Chris Barker, MSW, CSWA

Mental Health Therapist

Chris grew up in Austin, Texas and moved to Colorado as a young adult. He was awarded his Masters degree in Social Work from Colorado State University. His MSW followed an advanced generalist program, but Chris focused much of his individual coursework on mental health, especially as it relates to prevention programs, integrated care, trauma-informed practice, and several modalities of psychotherapy.

Chris joined the Waterfall family in August of 2023. He brings several years of experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and elderly individuals. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. Chris spends his free time practicing martial arts, playing video games, and immersing himself in pulp movie and music culture. As a transplant from the landlocked state of Colorado, Chris is also looking to try his hand at fishing.
