Dr. Antonia Perez, DNP, FNP, PMHNP

Psychiatric Provider

Antonia Perez is a bilingual, dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 30 years of experience in the nursing profession. Originally from the rural Texas Panhandle, her path into healthcare began at the age of 15 following the loss of her brother to Ewing Sarcoma—an experience that continues to fuel her lifelong commitment to compassionate, inclusive care.

Antonia spent nearly two decades living in Arlington, Virginia, and working in Washington, D.C., where she served as a registered nurse and later as a family nurse practitioner. Throughout her career, she has worked in Level I and II trauma centers, community health clinics, and primary care settings across Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Her practice has focused on serving a wide range of populations, including the underinsured, refugees, asylum seekers, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other historically marginalized communities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Antonia served on the front lines as a lead family nurse practitioner at one of the largest clinics in Texas, delivering high-quality care and implementing rapidly evolving public health guidelines to protect both patients and staff.

Her roles have spanned from bedside nursing (ICU/CVICU/Trauma) to case management, nurse leadership, adjunct faculty, mentorship, and interim directorship. She has led multidisciplinary teams and contributed to institutional committees focused on trauma response, ethics, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) operations, post-9/11 disaster relief in D.C., and quality improvement initiatives.

Antonia holds a Master’s in Nursing Education from Marymount University (Arlington, VA), a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from The Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (Baltimore, MD).

Now based on the Oregon Coast, she is honored to serve the communities of North Bend and Coos Bay. She believes deeply in treating the whole person—regardless of their ability to pay—and in creating healthcare spaces where every individual feels seen, heard, and respected. In her free time, Antonia enjoys spending time with her adult son, family, and close friends.
