Micah Levitt, QMHP, THW

Micah Levitt (“Mecca”) grew up in Hawaii and the greater Boston area, graduating from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services in 2003 and graduating from Portland State University with a master’s degree in social work in June, 2023.  After living in Hawaii again, as well as Arizona for, she moved to Coos Bay, Oregon in 2014.  With about twenty years in the behavioral health field, she began at Kairos in 2017 as a Community Skills Coach, then moved into Peer Work as a Family Support Specialist, and then supervised Skills Coaches and Peers at the office for about 4 years, while offering individual and family therapy for the past year.  She loves lifelong learning and growing with people.

Micah utilizes a Trauma-Informed Care model, including strengths-based and solution focused practices.  She is empathetic, gentle, and person centered.  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are a few of her favorite approaches.  She values attachment work, building connections and thrives with thorough communication and feedback.  Micah’s style is holistic, collaborative, and attuned to the needs in the room.  Trained in Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN), she strives to create a safe environment where change and growth occur collectively, and individually.  Her greatest passion (besides her two children, puppy, and cat) is helping others feel empowered
